TAKE Defense Training

  • Tau and T.A.K.E

Ali Kemp was a young girl with a bright future until her life was cut short. Ali was murdered at 19 years old while she was working as a life guard. Alpha Delta Pi and Pi Beta Phi join forces every year to raise money and awareness for the T.A.K.E. Defense training program ran by the Ali Kemp Foundation. Why are we so dedicated to Ali's cause? Ali's mother was an ADPi just like us, Ali a Pi Beta Phi. Greek bonds not-with-standing, Alpha Delta Pi hopes to teach its women how to be strong of morals and body, the T.A.K.E. defense training program helps to further our mission. For a little more information look below to adapted versions of the T.A.K.E official website. To get involved check out http://www.takedefense.org/ali.html.

  • What We Do to Help

Every fall Alpha Delta Pi and Pi Beta Phi at KU host a T.A.K.E Defense training event. The women of both houses help as trainers and participate in the training.

The Ali Kemp Foundation hosts a fashion show in Ali's memory every year and the women of Alpha Delta Pi volunteer their time to staff the event.
