There are 195 Ronald McDonald Houses in 16 countries, whose function is to provide comfort, care and "a home-away-from-home" for the fmailies of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at neaby hospitals. What we do to help
The women of Alpha Delta Pi take several trips a year to local Ronald McDonald Houses in order to connect with the families and assist the staff with day to day chores. These trips serve as a warm reminder of why we work so hard to fundraise-- the children.
In addition to trips, the women of Alpha Delta Pi host a 5k Run for Ronald every spring. This year we raised over $4,000! Each year just keeps getting better thanks to the support of sponsors, Ronald McDonald House directors, and the community.
Trunk or Treat is a fun halloween event that many of our women love! ADPi's pass out candy from their car trunks at the Kansas City Ronald McDonald House.
Ronald McDonald House Charities and Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Delta Pi and it's members are actively involved in community service projects around the Lawrence/Kansas City area. In 1979, the Ronald McDonald House Charities was made the international philanthropy. Alpha Delta Pi has contributed over $2 million, nationally.
